Joe Freeman is an Attorney with H&S whose practice focuses on litigation and alternative dispute resolution in the construction industry.

Joe earned his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law, where he graduated with honors. While attending law school, Joe competed on, and later served as a coach for, the GSU Moot Court team, where his team won first place in the 2023 Georgia Intrastate Moot Court Competition, first runner-up in the 2022 Georgia Intrastate Moot Court Competition, and second-best brief in the 2022 Georgia Intrastate Moot Court Competition. Additionally, Joe had the privilege of participating in GSU’s Landlord-Tenant Mediation Clinic, becoming a registered neutral in the State of Georgia, a designation he maintains as part of his current practice. In his third year of law school, Joe was a Legal Extern for the Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Chief Counsel and served as the President of the Oglethorpe Legal Society.

Prior to law school, Joe obtained his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Alabama’s College of Engineering, where he graduated with honors. While attending Alabama, Joe participated in the Cooperative Education Program, where he gained construction experience in project management and field operations in Alabama, Arizona, and Georgia. Additionally, Joe worked during and after his time at Alabama as a construction consultant, providing services for construction disputes and project risk management in various states.
